Sunday Soup

I always know it's fall when the James family calls us over for dinner for Sunday soup! Danelle is one of the best cooks I know so I love these days! Tonight was football and chili!
Ok and wine too :)

Fun in the Dells

Enjoying a little break we took the kids to the Wilderness in the Dells and had a great time. Lily is obsessed with whe wave pool while Eli couldn't get enough of the water rides.

Here Lily models for befor the big bucket of water dumps on her.
And here's an action shot.
And here's me thinking I was far enough away to not get wet!!
Lily and Gramie chilling pool side.
Catching some waves.

We ate dinner at this cool place in the downtown Dells. They had tappers at your tables.....it was awesome.
And of course we had to stop at the winery. The kids had their own special wine tasting (NA of course).
More fun in the water park.

Air and Space

We spent the day checking out some of the local attractions in DC.

Eli held up the Washington monument today.

Marshall was a great tour guide at the Air and Space museum.

Aunt Sara was having more fun in the kids zone than the kids! Just kidding we all had a great time.

Kids checking out the toilet in the Sky Lab.

On our way to DC.

We stopped in Minneapolis for a little fun between flights.

First day of school for this family!

As most of you know the kids started new schools this year (Lily 2nd grade at Roosevelt and Eli 4k at St. Brons) They both handled the transition like champs. We were very proud. There's a chance I however might have teared up a bit. I tried to be strong!

Normally we head to the Wooden Chair for breakfast.....but now that we live all the way in Plover, I wasn't sure if we'd make it back in time. Lily was already a nervous wreck I didn't want to chance it!

So we ate at moms restaurant. The only place where Eli can eat shirtless. It's pretty much his favorite thing.

Our neighbor Maija hosted doughnuts on the deck with most of the neighborhood family then we all walked to school together. It was quite the crew.

Us with the kids waiting for Lily to go into school.
